The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering companies such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it's alarmed with regard to the significant amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SRD SASSA services.

“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office committed to service the area each day. The service place produced for intervention activities a superior influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for that Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to allow the servicing of all shoppers and increase access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
